Overview

Radix is a PropTech SaaS platform that provides real-time multifamily housing analytics, benchmarking, and financial modeling tools.
Used by property managers, investors, and analysts, Radix enables teams to track rents, evaluate portfolio performance, and compare market trends to make data-driven investment decisions within a unified analytics platform.

My Contributions

• Led UX redesign for ProForma and customizable dashboard: conducted user research, wireframed financial modeling tools, and improved data visualizations to simplify analyst workflows and enhance decision-making.
• Collaborated with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to align technical and business goals, driving usability improvements and supporting the launch of Radix’s standalone investment product.

The Challenge

Multifamily analysts relied on disconnected tools and manual workflows to evaluate properties, compare markets, and generate reports.
This fragmented workflow slowed decision-making and increased the risk of inconsistent or outdated data. Radix needed a unified platform that could centralize analytics, simplify financial modeling, and provide intuitive dashboards to support both operational and investment decisions.

Process

Discovery & Research:

Conducted stakeholder interviews with analysts, product managers, and internal teams to understand key workflows and pain points.
Mapped analyst tasks such as property comparison, financial modeling, and market benchmarking.

Design & Prototyping

Designed dashboards and modeling workflows focused on clear data visualization, customizable views, and efficient analysis flows.

Design System Integration

Modernized Radix’s design system to ensure consistency across new and legacy features while improving scalability of UI components.

Testing & Feedback

Ran internal feedback sessions and pilot client tests to refine workflows, improve usability, and validate feature adoption.

Developer Handoff

Delivered high-fidelity designs and specifications, collaborating closely with engineers to support implementation of complex financial logic and scalable UI patterns.

🎨 Design System Work

Problem:

Radix’s design components had evolved inconsistently over time, leading to fragmented UI patterns across the platform.

My Role:

Led a full redesign of the design system, rebuilding foundational elements such as color tokens, typography scales, buttons, and data visualization components.

Research & Discovery:

Conducted competitive research, audited platform needs, and explored design trends to balance modern aesthetics with Radix’s data-heavy UX.

Outcome:

Delivered a scalable design system that improved product consistency, accelerated feature development, and supported Radix’s expanding analytics platform.

Visual System — Built an extensive system in Figma:

• Color tokens designed for data-heavy dashboards
• Typography hierarchy optimized for analytics readability
• Scalable components for tables, inputs, filters, and popovers
• Expanded icon library and visual assets

ProForma — From Internal Tool to Standalone Product

ProForma began as an internal feature but showed strong potential as a client-facing investment analysis product.
I led the UX transformation to evolve ProForma into a standalone analytics tool tailored for multifamily investment analysts.

User Research & Discovery

Conducted interviews with analysts and business stakeholders to understand modeling workflows and reporting needs.

UX & Product Design:

Designed a dedicated ProForma dashboard surfacing key property metrics and portfolio insights.
